Vinturi (A Wine Aerator)
Type:
Technology
Description:
An amazingly simple and elegant piece of technology that makes an average wine taste better.
It works on the Venturi effect, discovered by Giovanni Battista Venturi in the late 18th century. The Vinturi has no moving parts, (as with our range of zip jets and pumps); the Venturi effect states that as the speed of a moving fluid increases, the pressure within the fluid decreases. This means that when wine or any liquid is poured into the Vinutri, the design creates an increase in the liquids velocity and a decrease in its pressure. This pressure difference draws in air, which is mixed with the liquid for perfect aeration.
