KTP Associate for Object Detection, Recognition and Tracking using Sonar Imagery, Edinburgh


Tritech International Ltd and Heriot-Watt University are looking for a researcher to join an exciting new 2 year duration knowledge transfer project (KTP) to develop state-of-the-art underwater object detection, recognition and tracking system using sonar imagery, based on machine (deep) learning.

While being an employee of Heriot-Watt University, the associate will be based at Tritech’s Edinburgh office premises located in the Heriot Watt Research Park, and will interface and integrate with the multi-skilled Tritech development team. The associate will have access to all the university facilities (computing, office space, training programmes etc.) available to regular university employees. In addition, the candidate will also have access to Innovate UK’s contacts and training programmes including business administration focussed training programmes.




Post-graduates from Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply.
