2022: Our Year In Review

2022 has been a fantastic year for Tritech and before we step into 2023, we wanted to share some of the moments which made this year. From international events to product launches, 2022 had plenty to shout about.

Joining General Oceans AS

On the 1st of October, we were pleased to share the news that Tritech had joined General Oceans AS. We've been lucky to gain sister companies in NortekReach Robotics and Strategic Robotic Systems and although it's only been a couple of months, we are already exchanging knowledge and skills across the group and looking forward to a bright future together.

We welcomed 7 new team members to Tritech

We're extremely proud of the team we've built at Tritech and so to add seven new team members across the business is a real win for us. With a spread of positions across the business including Engineering, Stores, Procurement and Sales, each new team member has brought their own flare and we consider ourselves lucky at Tritech to work with such fantastic people.

In 2023, we're looking to grow our team further with a number of new roles due to be advertised from January onwards. To keep up to date with our recruitment, sign up to our newsletter by clicking here.

Launching the Micron Gemini

2022 saw the launch of the Micron Gemini: the smallest multibeam imaging sonar in the world with improved image, pressure, and depth sensor, and optional AHRS. This small but mighty sensor has proven to be highly popular with large numbers sold and more on order for 2023. The compact nature of the Micron Gemini has been praised by many users of small and micro ROVs as well as its real-time image, making it ideal for obstacle avoidance and target recognition in tight environments.

We got some cracking orders

This year we received some fantastic orders including an ROV sold by Outland with a suite of Tritech sonars and a large order from STR. As we continue to improve our current products and develop new technology, we hope to continue to be able to offer some of the leading technology in the subsea industry.

We exhibited across the world

Following the restrictions of the Covid pandemic, this year we enjoyed being able to get back out to our favourite industry events as well as some new ones. SOFIC in Florida was a first for Tritech and gave us an excellent opportunity to introduce end users to our Diver Mounted Display system. We also exhibited at the first Oceanology in four years which was a brilliant experience and enabled us to meet with suppliers, Resellers and customers face to face.

Took part in online events

This year we were lucky enough to take part in some great online events including the Blueye Robotics digital day which saw our Sales Manager Mike Broadbent discussing all things Multibeam with Trond Larson, Senior Technical Sales Engineer for Blueye Robotics. You can watch the interview here.

MTR100 company

We have been named one of the Marine Technology Reporter's top 100 companies in 2022. This prestigious collection of companies is announced towards the end of every year and we are extremely happy to have been included this year.

Integrated the Micron Gemini into the DMD

We had multiple requests from Public Safety Divers to integrate our Micron Gemini into the Diver Mounted Display system due to its compact nature and excellent sonar image. Shortly after the launch of the Micron Gemini, we integrated it into the system and have had great results since. Get in touch to request a demo or a loan of a DMD to see how it can shorten your time in water, make identifying targets a lot easier and help your dive team avoid hazards in the water.

What's to come in 2023

We have a lot lined up for 2023 and we can't wait to get started! Along with a new website and an update to our branding, we will be showcasing our most innovative product yet.

Our travelling schedule is also looking pretty full with local, national and international shows booked as well as visits to partners and clients early in the year.

Lastly, we're looking forward to adding further to our team in 2023. A few key positions have been filled and we'll start seeing some new faces from January 2023.
